Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism Policy
Perception, Navigation and Intelligent Devices maintains a strict policy against plagiarism and all forms of academic dishonesty. Authors submitting manuscripts to the journal must ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and not copied or substantially reproduced from any published or unpublished source without appropriate acknowledgement.
Plagiarism includes copying text, figures, tables, data, ideas, methods, results, algorithms, device models, system architectures, sensor layouts, diagrams, experimental outputs, or conclusions from another source without proper citation. It also includes self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, excessive text recycling, improper paraphrasing, and reuse of previously published material without disclosure.
Plagiarism Screening
Submitted manuscripts may be checked for similarity using plagiarism detection tools or editorial screening methods. Similarity reports are evaluated carefully by the editorial team. A high similarity percentage does not automatically indicate misconduct, but unexplained similarity, copied text, unattributed content, improper citation, or reused technical material may lead to rejection.
Author Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly cited and that quoted or reproduced material is clearly identified. Authors must obtain permission where required for copyrighted figures, tables, images, diagrams, datasets, software code, device models, or other protected material.
Editorial Action
If plagiarism is identified before publication, the manuscript may be returned for correction, rejected, or blocked from further consideration depending on the severity of the issue. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the journal may issue a correction, expression of concern, or retraction, as appropriate.
