Journal of Privacy-Aware Computing Systems may apply an Article Processing Charge for accepted manuscripts to support the costs associated with editorial processing, peer review management, publication production, online hosting, website maintenance, indexing support, and long-term accessibility of published articles.

Charge Applicability

Any applicable Article Processing Charge is considered only after the manuscript has completed editorial evaluation and has been accepted for publication. Payment of an Article Processing Charge does not guarantee acceptance of a manuscript.

No Influence on Editorial Decision

Editorial decisions are based on the quality, originality, relevance, technical soundness, ethical compliance, privacy responsibility, security relevance, and contribution of the manuscript. Article Processing Charges do not influence peer review, editorial judgement, reviewer recommendations, or acceptance decisions.

Purpose of the Charge

The charge supports publishing operations such as manuscript handling, editorial workflow, digital publication, article formatting, website maintenance, archiving support, and administrative services required to maintain the journal.

Transparency

The journal aims to maintain transparent publication charges and responsible editorial practices. Authors should not make any payment unless they have received official communication from the journal or publisher.
