Instructions to Authors

Journal of Computational Health Systems welcomes original research articles, review articles, technical studies, case studies, simulation-based studies, experimental investigations, system design papers, computational modelling studies, and application-oriented manuscripts in computational health systems, digital health technologies, health informatics, medical data analytics, artificial intelligence in healthcare, clinical decision support, biomedical computing, electronic health systems, telemedicine, public health informatics, and intelligent healthcare applications.

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, technically sound, ethically prepared, and not under consideration by another journal at the time of submission. Manuscripts should be written clearly, follow a logical academic structure, and present a meaningful contribution to the subject area of the journal.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors should register or log in to the journal website, select the appropriate submission section, upload the manuscript file, provide complete author details, enter the title and abstract, add keywords, and complete all required submission metadata.

During submission, authors should confirm that the manuscript complies with the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, publication ethics, plagiarism policy, copyright policy, patient data protection requirements, and author declaration requirements.

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the research problem, objective, methodology, system or model used, major findings, validation results, and conclusion. Authors should avoid unnecessary citations, undefined abbreviations, and excessive background information in the abstract.

Keywords should reflect the main subject of the manuscript. Suitable keywords may relate to computational health systems, digital health, health informatics, medical data analytics, artificial intelligence in healthcare, clinical decision support, biomedical computing, telemedicine, public health informatics, electronic health records, and intelligent healthcare systems.

Formatting Requirements

• The manuscript should be written in clear academic English.
• Text should be typed with consistent formatting and proper spacing.
• Headings and subheadings should be clearly structured.
• Figures, tables, algorithms, health system models, workflows, and experimental results should be numbered and cited in the text.
• Equations, pseudocode, medical data variables, performance metrics, and technical notations should be clearly presented and consistently used.
• Abbreviations should be defined at first use.
• References should be complete, accurate, and consistently formatted.

Health Data, Ethics, and Privacy

Manuscripts involving patient data, clinical records, medical images, health surveys, public health datasets, wearable health data, or human participants must clearly describe ethical safeguards, institutional approval where applicable, consent procedures, anonymization methods, privacy protection measures, and responsible data handling practices.

Figures, Tables, Algorithms, and System Models

Figures, tables, algorithms, computational models, clinical workflows, system architectures, data pipelines, validation outputs, and performance results should be clear, readable, and relevant to the manuscript. Each item must have a suitable caption and must be referred to in the main text.

References

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all references are accurate, relevant, and properly cited. References should include sufficient bibliographic details so that readers can identify and locate the cited sources. Authors should avoid irrelevant citations, excessive self-citation, and citation manipulation.

Submission Checklist

• The manuscript matches the focus and scope of the journal.
• The manuscript is original and not submitted elsewhere.
• The title, abstract, keywords, author details, and affiliations are complete.
• All figures, tables, algorithms, system models, datasets, and references are properly cited.
