Abstract

Software-based student attendance monitoring combines biometric devices, mobile applications, and cloud reporting to improve attendance accuracy and academic administration. The system records student identity through fingerprints, facial recognition, QR codes, or secure mobile verification during classroom and institutional activities. Attendance data are automatically synchronized with a cloud platform, reducing manual entry and duplicate records. Realtime dashboards help teachers and administrators monitor daily attendance, late arrivals, absenteeism, class participation, and attendance trends. Automated notifications can inform students and parents about absences, attendance shortages, and schedule updates. Role-based access, encryption, and audit logs protect student information and strengthen accountability. Overall, the system can reduce attendance fraud, simplify reporting, improve communication, and support early identification of students with irregular participation.
