A data validation framework for payroll management systems is important because payroll databases must maintain accurate employee, attendance, salary, tax, deduction, benefit, and payment records. Payroll validation helps verify employee eligibility, working hours, salary components, statutory deductions, bank details, leave adjustments, and payment calculations before salary processing. Existing literature highlights field-level validation, business-rule checks, duplicate detection, referential integrity, tax rule verification, approval workflows, audit logging, and exception reporting as major practices in payroll data control. However, many organizations still face challenges such as incorrect employee records, missing attendance data, duplicate salary entries, wrong deduction values, invalid bank details, and weak approval tracking. This research is important because payroll errors can affect employee trust, financial accuracy, compliance reporting, and organizational accountability. This article discusses a data validation framework for payroll management systems, focusing on employee master validation, attendance verification, salary rule checking, deduction control, bank detail validation, exception handling, and audit-based reporting. The study concludes that an effective validation framework improves payroll accuracy, reduces payment errors, strengthens compliance readiness, and supports reliable enterprise payroll management.
